Who to contact
Scam Check UK is a service website. For privacy enquiries and requests about information submitted through this site, email info@scam-check.co.uk. The formal data controller identity and full business contact details should be confirmed before expanding the service beyond this initial enquiry-only launch.
What the free tool does
The free URL-format screening tool runs entirely in your browser. It does not send the entered website address to our application server for analysis or store it in our application database. Do not enter passwords or payment information.
When you contact us
The enquiry form prepares an email in your own email application. You choose whether to send it. If sent, it may contain your name, email address, the website or business you want reviewed, and any comments you include. We use enquiry emails to respond, manage an agreed service and retain associated correspondence as reasonably necessary. A full retention schedule and lawful-basis notice should be confirmed before accepting paid orders.
Hosting and technical records
The website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, which may process technical request information and logs to operate and protect the website. This launch website does not intentionally include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
Your rights
Depending on applicable UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing, or request portability of personal data. Contact us using the email above. You can also learn more from the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Third-party links
Links to external services are governed by their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for their policies.
Before wider commercial launch
This initial notice is a launch-stage explanation of how the present website works. Business identity, service-specific lawful basis, retention periods, processors and any payment arrangements must be finalised and reviewed before a paid checkout or expanded data collection is enabled.
